Projected lines
The main actions to be performed are:
Infrastructure:
Grading a double track platform with 18 km of length
Construction of art structures.
Construction of hydraulic structures
Construction of a double track tunnel  with 266 m of length and retaining walls of368 m.
Construction of 13 stations
Construction of two  storage sites in the terminus Gobaâ and Bougatfa.
Renovation of the existing way service with 5 km of length to reach the workshop in Sidi Fathallah. This path will still not electrified
SYSTEM:
Way: The way  will be with a standard gauge
Energy: power supply 2 x 25 kV (with auto-transformers)
Catenary: The proposed overhead line is polygonal, regularized by systems pre-tensioners
Signalling: equivalent to the ETCS (European Train Control System) Level 1.
Telecommunications: GSM-R
PCC: a Central Command Center RFR network to provide command and control of the majority of network equipment using an operation support system (CAS).
Rolling Material             
Acquisition of electric suburban type of material, consisting of several cases in the form of an indivisible unit with reversible large capacity of 110 m of length. Maximum speed 140 km / h; Ramp: 3.5% for 300 m.
Maintenance facilities
Construction of a workshop in Sidi Fathallah: infrastructure and local maintenance, and administrative offices.
 Maintenance and part of the train storage of Lines “D” and “E” lines will be made on this site maintenance in  Sidi Fathallah
This deposit will be accessible through existing way of service under renovation.
Operating Modes
The RFR is like a rail-type transport system adapted to urban constraints.
The operating philosophy is based on races between origins and destinations adapted to the demand.
Service features Travelers
An operating life of about 18 hours from 05:00 pm until 23:00 pm
Two peaks provided between 07h00 and 09h00 and between 16h30 and 19h30.
The Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, the service offering will be adapted to the demand.

Line E: 13450 passenger / hour / direction
Commercial speed
Line D: 43.04 km / h
Line E: 40.53 km / h
SECOND TRANCHE
The second tranche of the priority network was initially defined as follows:
Section C: Tunis – Bir kasaa: 7 km
Section C ‘+ F: Tunis PV – Bourgel: 3.6 km
Section D1: Tunis PV – Tunnel: 2.5 km
Three (03) Exchange Poles: Barcelona Tunis, Tunis PV and Tunis Marine
But given the delay, a reflection will be committed to redefine the second tranche.
